What needs to be done after In Stock Reminder app installation?

To set up the In Stock Reminder app you need to insert the script copied from the Settings section:

  1. Click Settings in our app.

  2. Copy the embedded code, as in the screenshot above.

  3. Paste it according to the instruction below:

In the Admin section of your BigCommerce account, go to Storefront → Script Manager:

  1. Click Create a Script:

2. On the next page you need to name the script (for internal use) e.g. In Stock Reminder

3. Description can be skipped.

4. Choose Footer for Location on page.

5. Choose All Pages for the option Select pages where script will be added.

6. Choose Essential for Script category.

7. Choose Script and insert the script from the Settings section of our app:

8. Click Save.

Customizing the Mobile Theme

If in Storefront → Mobile Theme Settings the mobile theme is enabled, you need to customize the Mobile theme for the app to work on mobile devices.

Step 1. Download Template file

Click on Download Template Files, and mobile theme files will be downloaded as a .zip file.

To make use of the files, you should unzip it by using a specialized program such as 7-Zip or WinZip.

Step 2. Edit Template file

Open Panel → Footer.html file and add the app's code before the last div closing:

Save file.

Step 3. Go to File Access (WebDAV)

Server Settings → File Access (WebDAV) or Settings → Advanced → File Access (WebDAV).

Step 4. Connect to the store server in a WebDAV client

First, install Cyber duck for connecting.

Click on the Download option to download a Cyber duck connecting file for the WebDAV client to your computer.

Once you open the downloaded file, a link to your store server in your WebDAV client will open automatically.

Now, you can upload the edited file to the mobile_template directory.

Step 5. Upload file

Drag and drop your Footer.html to the mobile_template → Panels.

Reload the store page to show changes.
